The fresh ingredients needed to make a healthy lemon balm tea for weight loss.

1 cup of fresh lemon balm leaves (or 2 tablespoons of dried lemon balm)

  • 2 cups of filtered water
  • Optional add-ins: 1 teaspoon of lemon juice (boosts metabolism and adds flavor), A few slices of fresh ginger (aids digestion and fat burning), 1 teaspoon honey (natural sweetness), A few mint leaves (for extra digestion support)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the Leaves: If using fresh lemon balm, rinse the leaves under cold water to remove any dirt or dust. Gently shake them dry.
  2. Boil Water: Boil 2 cups of water but make sure it’s not too hot. The ideal temperature is between 160°F (70°C) and 180°F (80°C) to preserve the delicate oils in the lemon balm leaves.
  3. Steep the Leaves: Add the lemon balm leaves to the hot water. Cover the mug or teapot and steep for 10-15 minutes to allow the herbal compounds to infuse.
  4. Strain the Tea: After steeping, strain the tea to remove the leaves.
  5. Add Optional Ingredients: To enhance the flavor and health benefits, you can add a teaspoon of lemon juice, a few slices of fresh ginger, or a drizzle of honey.
  6. Enjoy: Sip your lemon balm tea warm or chill it over ice for a refreshing summer drink.

Notes

Experiment with other herbal infusions like green tea or peppermint for additional benefits.
